The Bow River Sampler offers you a taste of some of the best world class fly fishing.

Your package includes for two people: airport pickup and return, accommodations, based on double occupancy, at the only full service Lodge on the banks of the lower Bow River, guided fly fishing from a Mckenzie-style drift boat. All your meals and non-alcoholic beverages are provided from the time you arrive until you leave.

Sample itinerary:
Arrival Day: You will be picked up from the airport (or other pre-arranged location) and will shop for any alcoholic beverages you may require before proceeding to your superior accommodations at North Bow Lodge (About 45 minutes of travel time from Calgary). After settling into your room you will be able to unwind after your travel day on the river view patio, or cast a few from shore before or after dinner if time allows. Stu will pick out several fly patterns for you to try from our fly shop.

Day 2: Start your day off with a hearty Canadian breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lodge usually between 8:30am and 9:30am and you'll set off for your first day of adventure on the Bow. Depending on where you put in on the river you may have a 30-45 minute drive. Upon arrival at the river entry point you will begin to gear up while your guide launches the boat and prepares for the day. You will float and fish until lunch. Your guide will set up lunch while you relax, perhaps even find yourself catching a nap. After lunch, it is back onto the river, stopping to net fish and take pictures. Your arrival back at the North Bow Lodge will normally be sometime around dark, fishing and weather permitting. Darkness is usually around 10:00pm in July. Your hosts, Stuart and Michele await your arrival.

Join your hosts on the patio or by the fireplace and share some appetizers and beverages while the finishing touches are prepared to your evening meal. After dinner you are welcome to enjoy the rest of the evening by taking a walk on the surrounding property, or if you just haven't had enough fishing, cast a line from shore.

Day 3-4-5-6: Same as Day 2, but your guide may suggest doing a different section (there are 5 or 6 different floats to choose from) of the river or a trip into the foothills for some walk and wade fishing on some mountain streams.

Departure Day: Unfortunately it is now time to leave this spectacular river. Memories that will last a lifetime have been created. It's recommended you not book too early of a flight out as the airport is approximately 1 hour from the lodge. For early morning flights this can make for an even earlier wake up call. (Example: for a 7am airline departure you will have to leave the lodge by 430am).
