The
North Bow Lodge is located on the north side of the Bow River,
approximately 35 minutes southeast of Calgary, Alberta.
From Calgary...
- Take Deerfoot Trail South to Highway 22X (also marked as Exit 234 and Marquis of Lorne Trail).
- Go East to Range Road 273 (signage also for Langdon, Boulder Creek Golf Course and McKinnon Flats at this intersection) approximately 21 kms/13 miles
- Turn South on RR 273 for 5 kms/3 miles to TWP 222
- Turn East (you will still be on pavement) for 5 kms/3
miles to RR 270. There is a yield sign here, but no road
sign.
- Turn South and follow road all the way to the river, approximately
8 kms/5 miles. There will be only 1.6 kms/1 mile of pavement
and then gravel. When the gravel starts there should be
a big industrial plant on your left hand side. Along the
gravel road you will see a couple of “NO EXIT” signs. Ignore
them, you are on the right road. When you cross over a cattle
guard you are at the top of the valley. Please drive slowly
(20 kms is not too slow) as there is a hairpin curve near
the bottom.
- The Lodge is at the bottom of the hill to the west.
- In the winter or wet summer conditions 4 x 4 vehicle is highly recommended.
